تناول (شعراوى) تجاربه في القارة الإفريقية، بعد تعيينه باحثا في الشؤون الإفريقية برئاسة الجمهورية، فشملت زيارته مع وفد للتهنئة بإعلان استقلال تنجانيقا عام 1961، وسفره لحضور احتفال استقلال زنجبار عام 1963، كما تناول تمثيل حركات التحرير الإفريقية في مصر، حيث أصبح في القاهرة أكثر من 20 مكتبا لحركات التحرير، وصار هناك تمثيل لثلاث منظمات أحيانا من بلد واحد.
