يتألف هذا الكتاب من سبعة فصول وملحق واحد، وقد تضمن الفصل الأول مجموعة من التعاريف الأساسية، وحساب مساحات المقاطع العرضية للمنشآت الهندسية الخطية كمشاريع الطرق والسكك الحديدية ... إلخ، وكذلك طرق حساب كميات الحفر والردم في تلك المشاريع. وعرض الفصل الثاني أعمال المساحة التطبيقية متناولا الشبكات الجيوديزية-الهندسية (الأفقية والارتفاعية)، أعمال الرفع والتتريل الطوبوغرافية، وعناصرها الأساسية، وكذلك المسائل الهندسية التي يمكن حلها اعتمادا على الخرائط والمخططات الطوبوغرافية، وأيضا العناصر الأساسية للمنشآت الهندسية الخطية، وأعمال قياسات المقاطع الطولية والعرضية، كما تطرق أيضا إلى المنحنيات الدائرية والانتقالية والشاقولية في أعمال الطرق، وطرق تنفيذها على أرض الواقع... إلى آخر موضوعات الكتاب.
