كتاب (ضد المنهج) الذي مثل مشروعا مقترحا من قبل إمري لاكاتوش Imre Lakatos، وتضمن على نحو صريح موقف فييرابند من المنهج في العلم، ولعل أكثر ما أثار الفضول في هذا الكتاب هو عنوانه (ضد المنهج) ؛ الذي أراد به تحديدا أنه لم يكن يدعو إلى الفوضى من حيث الكتابة رغم أنه مكتوب في الدعوة إلى الفوضوية، إذ احتوى على عشرين فصلا، يمكن القول إنها الأطروحات العشرون لوجهة نظر فوضوية حول العلم والمعرفة عموما، تناول كل منها مواضيع مختلفة لم تخلو في كثير من الأحيان من الاتساق المنطقي، عالج فيها أهم المسائل التي تخص المنهج من دون تناولها بشكل تفصيلي.
