جهاد المرأة مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم شمل ميادين الحياة كلها حتى وصل إلى المشاركة الفاعلة في المعارك إلى جانب الرجال، وقد برز عدد من الصحابيات بأعمال متميزة حتى نسبت إليهم هذه الأعمال واشتهروا بها واشتقوا لهن منها ألقابا هي كالأوسمة على الصدور أو أعلى. هي أعلى من الأوسمة لأنها اقترنت بالهدف السامي في سبيل الله. ولا بد للنساء المسلمات في هذا العصر الذي نعيشه من الاطلاع على هذا الزخم العظيم الذي خاضته المرأة الصحابية حتى يقتدين بها، ذلك لأن هؤلاء الصحابيات جاهدن الجاهلية الأولى وانتصرن عليها، وعلى المسلمات المعاصرات أن يجاهدن الجاهلية الحاضرة، وبالله سوف ينتصرن عليها. كتابنا ألقاب الصحابيات يتحدث عن خمس وخمسين صحابية، كل واحدة منهن فازت بلقب يخلد عملها.
