خصصت الهيئة العامة السورية للكتاب ضمن سلسلة أعلام ومبدعون كتابها الشهري لليافعة للباحث عبد القادر عياش الذي كرس جهده ووقته من أجل الحفاظ على تراث منطقة وداي الفرات بعاداته وتقاليده وتاريخه. ويضيء مؤلف الكاتب سراج أحمد جراد على حياة عياش منذ البدايات والإنطلاق ودراسته للحقوق والعمل في القضاء ثم الإنتقال إلى عالم الكتابة لينتقل للحديث عن نادي البيت الثقافي الذي أسسه عياش في دير الزور ثم مجلة صوت الفرات إلى الموسوعة الفراتية البكر التي تضم 168 عملا معرفيا ومتحف التقاليد الشعبية في المنطقة الذي وضع لبنته الأساسية. ولم يغفل الكتاب الحديث عن هوايات عياش التي تركزت حول جمع الطوابع والمخطوطات والسفر والترحال وتأثيرها على حياته كما عرض نماذج من كتاباته التي شملت الأطفال وجاءت على شكل غنائيات من الفرات.
