Overview
يتكون الكتاب الحالي من خمسة فصول : الفصل الأول يعرض للعلاقات المتبادلة بين اللغة والمجتمع كثنائية لا ينفصل عنصراها ويستعرض الفصل الثاني قضايا الأستعمال اللغوي وعلم اللغة تعريفا الحدث الأتصالي ويختتم الفصل بطرح كيفية البدء من الأداء وليس الكفاءة. أما الفصل الثالث فيستعرض فيه المؤلف موضوع السياق من زوايا علم اللغة الحديث والبلاغة والدراسات القرآنية ثم يتناول أنواع السياق والعلاقات المتبادلة بينها والتداولية وعلاقتها بالبلاغة وعلم اللغة الإجتماعي. ويأتي الفصل الرابع ليعرض نتائج دراسة تجريبية أجراها المؤلف في مجال توظيف علم اللغة الإجتماعي في تدريس البلاغة. وفي الفصل الخامس يقدم المؤلف رؤية تطبيقية لما أشتمل عليه الكتاب من موضوعات نظرية.
