تتناول رواية (ضبط العلم) والذي قام بتأليفه فيصل بن قزاز الجاسم في حوالي (76) صفحة من القطع المتوسط موضوع (ضبط العلم) الكتاب يتعلق ببيان جانب مهم من جوانب العلم، ألا وهو ضبط العلم وإتقانه فإنه لا يخفى على كل ذي بصيرة كثرة من يطلب العلم، وينخرط في حلقاته في المساجد والجامعات والمعاهد الشرعية، لكن الثابتين على هؤلاء قليلون وأقل منهم من يضبط العلم. وضبط العلم نعني به فهمه وتصوره، فالضابط للعلم هو الذي رزقه الله عز وجل وعلا فهما وصحة تصور يعرف بهما مدلول كلام الله وكلام رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكلام الصحابة والسلف، ويعرف أصول العلم وقواعده، ويتمكن من النظر والاستنباط واستخراج المعاني.
