كتاب قيم من 431 صفحة للصحفي والمؤرخ الإنكليزي جاستن مروذي حول تيمورلنك الطاغية المعروف وقاهر الملوك والسلاطين والشعوب... هذا الكتاب وكتب أخرى له تدل على ثقافة ومستوى معرفي وعلمي عال جدير بالثناء... تمتاز فترة تيمورلنك بقلة المصادر والمعلومات بسبب كون تلك الفترة ذات انحطاط حضاري بعد سقوط بغداد عام 1258... ولكن المؤلف قام بسفر طويل إلى البلاد التي سيطر عليها لكتابة ذلك السفر التاريخي القيم وهي عملية ليست بالهينة والأمر اليسير في ظل عالم يسوده الجهل المعرفي رغم التطور التكنولوجي...الكتاب لا يتم اختصاره بعبارات أو اقتطاع نصوص ولكن الإشارة إليه وتنبيه الآخرين إلى قيمته تكون بعدها الكرة في مرمى القارئ المتلهف للمعارف والثقافات المتعددة... يمتاز الكتاب بأسلوب سهل وممتع ومستند على مصادر قيمة مع التحليل المنطقي السليم.
