للمكان أهميته المركزية في صوغ أشكال الأشياء وهيئاتها وإيقاعاتها وتسمياتها، لكنه ذلك المكان المتحول إلى رؤية وتمثيل وتشكيل، وقد درج الكثير من الباحثين على تسمية الشعراء بأسماء أماكنهم لغايات بحثية توثيقية أو إيديولوجية أو حتى جمالية أحيانا، وهو ما يحتاج في رأينا إلى قراءة معمقة في طبيعة (المكانية الشعرية) وما ينطوي عليها من إشكالية مصطلحية، وكتاب الصديق الأستاذ الدكتور صالح علي حسين الجميلي الموسوم بـ ((شعراء موصليون ـ شهادات وبصمات)) يقع في هذه المنطقة، وهو كتاب محبة ووفاء مكاني وأكاديمي بالدرجة الأساس، فضلا على طابعه الوثائقي حيث على المدن ـ ومنها مدينة الموصل ـ أن تحتفي برموزها على المستوى التاريخي في الأقل، ولا تنساهم، أو تتحلى عنهم حين يغيبون، على النحو الذي يعطي لهذا الكتاب ضرورته وأهميته في هذا السياق.
