تؤرخ هذه المسرحية التي كتبها الشاعر المسرحي الإنجليزي كريستوفر مارلو في عام 1951، لنشأة وطموح تيمورلنك الفاتح الآسيوي أحادي المعدن، الذي سلك في جزئها الأول سلسلة من سفك الدماء والانتصارات والغطرسة وشدة التفاخر على الأباطرة والملوك الفرس ولترك والشام وبابل والعرب ومصر وتزوج زينة القرط ابنة سلطان مصر، وفي جزئها الثاني درب ووجه أبناءه الثلاثة على فون الحرب والسياسة وحزن على وفاة حبيبته أم أبنائه قبل أن توافيه المنية، يعتبر كثير من النقاد هذه المسرحية أشهر أعمال مارلوا.
