يتضمن المعجم معطيات تاريخية قديمة (مثل التاريخ القديم للأمازيغ) ومعطيات تاريخية حديثة (مثل تمرد الطوارق بين سنتي 1990 و1992). كما أنه يعرف بشخصيات متنوعة في التاريخ الأمازيغي (مثلا : مولود فرعون، أبو عبدالله محمد ابن سليمان الجزولي)، المعجم مفيد جدا لكل مهتم بالتاريخ القديم والحديث للأمازيغ، ولكل من يريد أن يشكل حكما موضوعيا عن بعض القضايا السياسية المعاصرة مثل ما سمته أيديولوجية حزب الإستقلال التقليدية ب(الظهير البربري) وما سماه بعض الصحافيين والمؤرخين ب\"الأزمة الأمازيغية\" في الجزائر.
