A Tow Party System or a three Party System:the Libertarian Party in the USA Since 1971

Overview

There is a consensus of opinion that the WWI reshaped the world map as well as the human accepted wisdom. As any other country in the world, plenty of unions and organizations had emerged in the USA with different ideologies to prevent the violation of the American citizen civil rights in the aftermath of the WWI. One of them is the Libertarian Party that has reached a certain prominent status as an ideological group in the U.S. Politics. Being the offspring of Libertarianism, a philosophical principle based on the belief that each individual owns every aspect of his/her life and thus should have the ability to control it; the Libertarian Party suggests that the government involvement in civil, economical, and social matters should be limited. It aims to endow free-will citizens with the ability to make decisions without the government influence as long as this act does not harm other individuals. This paper is an attempt to throw some light on the genesis, the principles, the objectives of the Libertarian Party as well as its position and impact on the USA politics.
