تتحدث هذه الدراسة- بإيجاز- عن جانبين مهمين من جوانب حياة ابن جزي الكلبي العلمية: أولهما: معتقده، وثانيهما: مذهبه الفقهي. ولا ريب أن عالما محققا مثل ابن جزي الكلبي جدير بأن تفرد جوانب حياته العلمية بالبحث والدراسة والتحرير، لذلك جاءت هذه الدراسة موضحة ومبينة لمعتقده ومذهبه الفقهي، وتألفت من مقدمة وستة مطالب وخاتمة، تحدثت في المقدمة عن أهمية الموضوع وسبب الكتابة فيه، وجاء المطلب الأول في التعريف باسمه ونسبه، والثاني عن مولده ونشأته ووفاته، والثالث عن حياته العلمية، والرابع في مصنفاته وآثاره العلمية، والخامس عن عقيدته، والسادس في مذهبه الفقهي، ثم الخاتمة ذكرت فيها أهم النتائج.
