يهدف هذا البحث إلى تناول فكرة مفادها أن الترجمة الآلية بمختلف نظمها أصبحت شريكا وعونا رئيسا للمترجم المحترف والمبتدئ على حد سواء لما توفره لهما من جهد مادي ومعنوي، وعلى الرغم من فعاليتها في مجال ترجمة النصوص، إلا أنها تبقى قاصرة لغويا في مجال ترجمة النصوص اللغوية والتعبيرات الاصطلاحية المحتوية على الإيحاءات والمجازات الكنايات وتعدد السياقات.
