Overview
\"الإلياذة\" هي الأسطورة الوحيدة التي بقيت لنا من عصر النهضة اليوناني في القرن الثامن قبل الميلاد وكانت تضم مجموعة كبيرة من الأبطال القدماء يمثلون عادات المجتمع اليوناني في ذلك الوقت وكذلك تضم كثيرا من الأشعار ووجود العديد من الشعراء المنشدين بها عامل أساسي والسؤال هنا هل \"هوميروس\" كان أحد الشعراء المنشدين؟ لكننا في الحقيقة لا نعرف على كل حال، فتكوين \"الإلياذة\" يبدو أكثر تنظيما من أي أشعار أخرى شفهية حتى إن كان بها كثير من التقطيعات والتقسيمات التي قام بها العلماء السكندريون للقرنين الثاني والثالث الميلاديين.
