Overview
في صباح السابع عشر من كانون الثاني عام 1467 م انطفأ قنديل \"إسكندر بك\" وهو في أوج مجده، وحين تلقى السلطان محمد ذلك الخبر قال : لن ترى هذه الأرض بعد بطلا مثله .. وأصدر أوامره بتكثيف وتشديد الحملات العسكرية خلال أحد عشر عاما، بعد أن فقد الألبانيون قائدهم «إسکندر بك»، وسقطت قلاعهم، الواحدة تلو الأخرى، وتم احتلال ألبانيا بعد صراع مرير، إن رواية (الحصن) تصف بدء هذا النزاع، وبالتحديد إحدى الحملات الأولى للجيش العثماني، والتي بلغ عددها أربعة وعشرين حملة خلال خمسة قرون.
