Overview
El presente trabajo se inserta en el ámbito de los estudios de recepción dentro del marco más amplio de las Humanidades digitales y persigue como objetivo principal trazar la historia editorial de la novela Mujercitas, de Louisa May Alcott, en España a través de sus traducciones y adaptaciones al castellano. Para ello, se ha elaborado una base de datos creada ad hoc a partir de diversos catálogos en línea. En primer lugar, abordamos la distinción teórica entre el concepto de adaptación y traducción aplicados a la novela. Seguidamente, describimos las categorías fundamentales que ha revelado el análisis de la base de datos, las relaciones entre ellas y su relevancia para la recepción de la obra. Finalmente, presentamos unos casos paradigmáticos que reflejan cómo ha sido la historia de su recepción en España y concluimos con unas reflexiones generales sobre los conceptos de traducción y adaptación y sobre la utilidad de la base de datos como herramienta metodológica de investigación en los estudios de recepción.
