Preparedness Framework The Career Preparedness Systems Framework we developed within the school district is the embodiment of our belief that education should go beyond academic knowledge to prepare students for success in college, careers and life. [...]the third component of the framework focuses on youth voice and purpose. The impact of the Career Preparedness Systems Framework has been significant, particularly when we examine student outcomes at institutions such as the University of California Irvine and California State University Fullerton, two institutions where many of our graduates enroll. Systemic Layers In Educating for Purposeful Life, a book I coauthored in 2023, I use the metaphor of threelevel chess to describe the layered complexities of education, resulting in a culture of relational trust and focus on shared vision.
